  1. Really interesting and thoughtful analysis. Curious if you had any thoughts on O’Rourke since he had a strong following during his Senate race? There is interest in what kids in your age group think and feel about our upcoming election, so looking forward to future posts.

    1. Hi Christine,

      It was very interesting to watch Beto debate last night, even though he has mostly lost his national following to Mayor Pete. Overall, it was a losing night for Beto, because of two reasons. One, he lost his charisma to Castro and Booker, as well his ability to show off his policies and agenda. Second, because Castro did so well last night, he is no longer the main Texan. Democrats can hope that Beto will concede right after Iowa, and get in the Senate race in Texas against John Cornyn. It doesn’t seem, currently, that Julian Castro will do that.
